Hotel Komovi - New events

28.08.2010. Sport center under construction
In the following year hotel "Komovi" will invest in new capacities. The plan is to build a soccer stadium and fitness center with everything needed for complete preparation of sportsmen. Also the fitness center will be available to individual guests.

30.06.2010. Bed & Bike standard in the hotel "Komovi"
Our hotel has the privilege to be amongst the first 20 objects in Montenegro which have been accredited with Bed & Bike certificate from ministry of tourism. Apart from new maps, guidebooks and unified marking of trails, the "Bed & Bike" criteria play a specific role this year: Guests may enjoy the services, which were first introduced by the German Cyclist Association (ADFC) - currently with more than 6,000 accommodation providers across Europe. Standard demands that hoteliers provide: washing and drying facilities for clothing, lockable room for storage of bicycles, "Bikers´breakfast" provided: muesli and fruit, set of repair equipment including key tools, providing info of of the nearest bicycle repair service etc. More info about this can be found here and the Montenegro wilderness biking map here

28.08.2009. Prvi dzip foto safari - Andrijevica 2009
Participants of the first jeep photo safari - Andrijevica 2009 enjoyed in a beautifull landscape of Bjelasica and Komovi and had a great time. Over 80 registered participants started their journey in the dawn from Andrijevica. They went trought Željevica - Gradišnjica - Zotino brdo - Jelovica - Zekova glava - Vranjak - Krivi do - Lisa - Trešnjevik - Štavna (Komovi) Konjuhe and than back to Andrijevica. In near vicinity of Zekova glava participants made a short lunch break. The weather conditions were verz good until Lisa when the rain started to fall. After a short break on Štavna and in Konjuhe they went back to Andrijevica and had the farewell dinner in our hotel. There were a lot of comments, blurbs and critics, but nobody forgot to mention the inviolable beauty of Bjelasica and Komovi landscape. Organiser promissed to have a gathering next year also, and thanked all who participated and helped this manifestation to took place. More photos can be found here.

26.10.2008. Telephone central installed in hotel

The telephone central has been installed and inaugurated in hotel today. Also every room now has a telephone. By this we want to put our service offering to a higher level and to make better comfort. From now on, trough reception, guests can receive telephone calls directly into room and also demand their own calls - trough modern tarrifing system. All works have been done by the firm Telemont from Podgorica.

02.09.2008. Satelite TV available in hotel

The satelite TV station has been installed by begining of october. It covers all the rooms in hotel. For now 15 rooms are equiped with TV, and by the end of this year every room will be equiped with it. On the repertoire there are four local channels - RTCG, RTCG2, TVIN and AtlasTV, and 16 satellite channels - CNN, BBC, Euro Sport, MTV, RTS, Slo TV, Rai1, Rai2, TV5MONDE, RTP, RTL2, etc. There is a posibility of "channels on demand", where our guests can chose other satTV channels (mainly for larger groups), for instance if thay prefer channels of their native language.

22.08.2008. Unbelievable catch from Plav lake
We were pleasantly surprised when the friend of our hotel came with a unbelievable sample of pike (Esox Lucius L.) long 1,05m catched from Plav lake. Acording to the lenght we can draw a conclusion that the fish is at least 8 years old. Catches like this are rare on Plav lake. Since this lake is high above sea level and it's basin is shallow, it is ideal habitat of this fish. Pike has a characteristic shape with lengthened and cylindrical body, the head is long and towards top it is becoming narowed like duck's beak. It is the uttermost predator of sweet waters and it is eating all kinds of fish and amphibians. More info about this fish can be found here.

Memorial of Vasojevički Kom (Vera Vincek and Pavle Milošević) appoint
The traditional memorial in respect to Vera Vincek and Pavle Milošević will be organised this year also, on the dates 8th, 9th and 10th of August. We expect arrival of more than 400 mountaineers from different mountaineer clubs from Montenegro and from abroad. The organizer of this gathering is mountaineering club "Kom" from Andrijevica. On 8th August mountaineers will arrive on Štavna (underneath Komovi), on 9th they will climb Vasojevički Kom and on 10th Kučki Kom. 13.06.2008 - Scout Union of Montenegro meeting in Kralje village
Village Kralje, known by community which successfuly organised different manifestations in the past, is a host of todays meeting of scout union of Montenegro. The scouts were mainly primari and high scool graders, from many cities of Montenegro. Besides other actions, scouts visited "monument park" Knjazevac in Andrijevica, went to Stavna (Komovi) and had differen competition disciplines.

16.04.2008 - Montenegro open 2008 - International balloon festival
Since it is the fourth time that Montenegro open is being organised, we can say that it is becoming traditional festival. Andrijevica was the starting location for the baloon adventurers, and hotel Komovi was the host as well as one of the sponsors.. Baloons circulated over the other Monte-negro cities, among others Berane and Podgorica.

10.12.2007 – New year's eve celebration
New year's eve celebration has been organised. We prepared a special promotional package. The singer Ljilja Vasić will be the entertainer. Also we prepared the new year's eve tombola with special rewards.

06.10.2007. - Round table "Bjelasica i Komovi - Integral developement"
Na opšte zadovoljstvo organizatora i nas kao domaćina 06. i 07. oktobra održava se okrugli sto sa temom "Bjelasica i Komovi - Integralni razvoj". Na skupu je zastupljen i beranski časopis "Tokovi" koji se bavi naučnim, književnim i društvenim pitanjima. Neke od tema vezanih za Bjelasicu i Komove izlagane na skupu su: koncepcija integralnog razvoja, prostorno-planske i demografske pretpostavke integralnog razvoja, endemske biljke, ljekovito bilje, turističko ekonomski potencijal, gljive, turističke vrijednosti reljefa i klime, perspektive razvoja turizma i zaštite životne sredine, turistički potencijali, vode kao resurs, zdrava hrana, održivi razvoj Bjelasice i Komova i doline tare, održivi zdravstveni turizam, uloga visokog obrazovanja u razvoju, uticaj izduvnih gasova na životnu sredinu, rudno blago, stanje šumarstva i industrije za preradu drveta od 1994. - 2007. god., ekspanzija gradnje - realna prijetnja ovim planinama, kombinovani vid turizma (planina - more), putna infrastruktura, regionalna i prekogranična saradnja, svjetska banka za obnovu i razvoj - prezentacija projekta uređenja slivova Tare i Lima, projekti Austrisko - Crnogorskog partnerstva itd.

15.08.2007. - Opening of hotel
Almost whole year past in reconstruction of the object, and now, finally we can say that the hotel has started working. In the past period, the main investments were reconstruction of electric lines, lightning, central heating, water installations, ventilation systems, and summer garden. Also the structural and paint works were plentifull. The inner rooms were overlayed with the carpets witch surface was more than a 1300m2. Almoust the same was the surface of ceramic works. Each room of the hotel got the all new bathrooms with shower cabins and with all necessary equipement. The restaurant and the caffe was renovated too. It is our pleasure to be the partner of the CKB bank which opened their office and ATM in the hotel.
